TEDxKanata is re-emerging on May 15, 2024 — with the theme EMERGE — and we want YOU to join us on stage!

e·merge (/əˈmərj/) — to come forth, appear, or become visible; to come into existence; to become known or recognized

Do you have an idea worth spreading? The sharing of ideas is incredibly important, now more than ever. As a community, we need to listen to each other and TEDxKanata is a platform where idea seekers, curious souls, and open minds are inspired to act for positive change.

Join us for an evening of conversations on the constantly evolving nature of our world and how individuals, ideas, social movements, cultural trends, and new technologies emerge to shape the present and future.

Do you have what it takes?

Our speakers come from every walk of life, with diverse backgrounds and varied perspectives, willing to share an important idea with global relevance that has been shaped in their individual experience. We carefully curate the topics and speakers for each event to ensure the most exciting and innovative ideas are featured on our Kanata stage and beyond.

Now in its seventh year, TEDxKanata has established itself as a premier TEDx event, with numerous past talks getting featured by TED and talks getting hundreds of thousands of views. Curious to learn more? Check out past TEDxKanata talks on YouTube from our themes Breaking Barriers, The Next 150, Ignite, re:Design, Imagine, and Adapt.

About TEDx, x = independently organized event
In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TED Talks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized. (Subject to certain rules and regulations.)
