PANEL: Four seasons Testing and Deployment of a Medium Speed Automated Shuttle in Canada’s Largest Tech Park
May 21 @ 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm
Breakout room 118 AB
Join this insightful panel discussion on the future of intelligent transportation systems and their role in enabling safer, smarter, and more equitable mobility solutions across Canada. Building on previous autonomous shuttle trials, this project introduces a higher-speed automated commercial motor vehicle tested at Area X.O and set to operate on public roads in Kanata North Tech Park—Canada’s largest tech park.
Panelists will share the strategic framework guiding the vehicle’s deployment, with a focus on safety, real-world performance in challenging Canadian weather conditions, and implications for policy and municipal adoption. The session will explore how data collected informs Transport Canada and supports the scalable, year-round use of AV technologies nationwide.
This conversation highlights how public-private collaboration is shaping the future of sustainable transportation, with contributions from partners including Area X.O, Aurrigo, City of Ottawa, CSA Group, Telus, Deaf.AI, and more.
Speakers:
- Kelly Daize (Moderator), Executive Director, Kanata North Business Association
- Dana Borschewski, Regional VP Americas, Aurrigo
- Mehdi Masoumi, Founder, Deaf.AI
Don’t miss this opportunity to explore Canada’s next steps toward autonomous, inclusive, and climate-resilient transportation.
