A popular west-end brewery is starting to roll out batches of hand sanitizer to help Ottawa residents reduce the spread of COVID-19 – as well as assist members of the community in need.
Big Rig Brewery recently began producing bottles of hand sanitizer in limited quantities that are available for home delivery. A portion of each batch is being donated to local organizations in Ottawa.
The Kanata Food Cupboard and the Shepherds of Good Hope are among the organizations that have benefited from the donations of hand sanitizer, describing it as a “vital” product that’s in “high demand.”

Big Rig Brewery became Kanata North’s first craft brewery some six years ago when it expanded beyond its original brew pub location to include a larger production facility. Several more craft breweries have opened in the tech park in recent years, increasing the number of amenities available to local employees.
