Innovation Morning: Breaking Silos – Connecting Technology, Nursing and Patient Care
November 25 @ 8:30 am - 10:30 am

As healthcare becomes increasingly shaped by artificial intelligence, digital technologies, and data-driven innovation, an important challenge remains: bridging the gap between technological advancement and the realities of clinical practice. Creating meaningful innovation in healthcare requires more than developing new technologies. It requires understanding the experiences of patients, the needs of healthcare providers, and the environments in which care is delivered.
Join Carleton University for Innovation Morning: Breaking Silos – Connecting Technology, Nursing and Patient Care, bringing together Kanata North’s technology and healthcare communities to explore opportunities for collaboration.
Featuring Carleton experts and students from the university’s new Bachelor of Science in Nursing program, this session will examine how technology, clinical education and person-centred care intersect. Students will share perspectives on developing healthcare innovations that reflect the needs of patients and providers and the realities of clinical practice.
Student presentations will be followed by an interactive Q&A and networking with healthcare professionals, technology innovators, researchers, industry partners and community members.
Open to all. Light refreshments will be provided.
