Transportation Master Plan Released – What do you think?

The Transportation Master Plan was released yesterday October 9th.  The Plan identifies facilities and services that the City of Ottawa will implement to serve a projected population of 1.14 million people by 2031.  It sets direction for the City’s day-to-day transportation programs, and provides a basis for budget planning.

The plan includes extending light rail transit to Bayshore and Baseline – as well adding a new bus transitway north up March Road connecting Kanata North to the transit system.  There are additional plans to improve cycling and pedestrian routes in our area as well.

The Kanata North BIA encourages you to familiarize yourself with the City’s Plan and voice any concerns you may have.  A Public Consultation will take place at the Kanata Recreation Center – Hall A on Thursday October 17th from 4-8pm.  Come out and learn more about what is in store for Kanata in the years to come.  Also please don’t hesitate to get in touch with our office and share your thoughts. We’d love to hear from you.
