On Friday of last week, I, along with the Executive Directors from the other 17 BIA’s in the City had the opportunity to meet with Tim Hudak, leader of the Conservative Party, and MPP Lisa Macleod.
The meeting was arranged after the Ottawa Council of BIA’s drafted a letter to Premier Wynne, in response to the rising cost of electricity in the Province. The 42% increase announced to be implemented in the coming 5 year time horizon, adversely impacts on our business communities, who are struggling to be competitive in an increasingly global business economy.
