Ottawa’s LRT Project is a monumental undertaking that will undoubtedly reshape the future of transportation in our City.  The Kanata North Business Association applauds the City for their commitment today to extend LRT further west to Moodie Drive by 2023.

The Kanata North Technology Park is experiencing unprecedented employment growth, and the impending move of DND employees into the former Nortel campus will increase the two-way traffic flow on the current roadway infrastructure.

Extending this essential transportation system further west heading towards Kanata is of critical importance not only to the western part of the City but also to the economic health of the entire City of Ottawa.   As a next step in securing LRT to Kanata, we look forward to the completion of the Environmental Assessment study for the Kanata LRT and working with Council to extend service into our growing community.
