Kanata North BIA Annual General Meeting to Set Stage for Destination Marketing Campaign

Ottawa – The Kanata North BIA is hosting its Annual General Meeting (AGM) on November 26th, an event that will define a new path forward for the organization to help put Kanata North back on the global stage as an innovator and business leader.

“The Kanata North BIA has achieved a lot in its first two years, and now it’s time to make a larger impact, and share the great successes happening here in Kanata with the rest of the world,” said Jenna Sudds, Executive Director, Kanata North BIA.

A key component of the AGM will be the approval of a new multi-year, community driven initiative aimed at redefining Kanata North as the place where success happens.

“We learned from extensive community outreach that the community feels that Kanata has lost its brand globally, and is no longer ‘Silicon Valley North.’ We want to redefine Kanata, and promote the community as the place to do business,” said Sudds.

The event will also include the first-ever viewing of the Kanata North Attraction Video, a key piece of collateral in the promotion of Kanata North; a presentation by Andrew Fisher, CEO of Glitchsoft, a video gaming company that has developed several leading games including “Uncanny X-Men: Days of Future Past”; and discussion on solidifying and strengthening relationships with local universities and colleges to promote business growth, and research and development.
