Kanata Building Height Study and Open House – What do you think?

As a result of the public meeting held on November 18, 2013, City staff have identified key intersections in Kanata that have been selected for candidate areas subject to recommendations for increased building height limits, through a Zoning or Official Plan amendment.  In the Kanata North area, intersections identified include Klondike and March Road, as well as the March Road and Terry Fox intersection.  These areas have been identified as candidates for buildings 4 storeys, and in some cases 6 storeys in height.

The Kanata North Business parks, on both sides of March Road will not be impacted by this study.  However, currently is subject to a Secondary Plan – details to timing will be shared once announced.

Open House

Public Open House is being held on April 28th at the Kanata Rec. Complex (100 Walter Baker) from 6:30 – 8:30.  Details of the proposed Amendments and Public Meeting are available below as well as on the City’s website here:  www.ottawa.ca/kanatazoning
