The Tim Hortons Ottawa Dragon Boat Festival is North America’s largest dragon boat festival held at Mooney’s Bay Park in late June. Each year we have a number of new teams and beginners are always welcomed!

We would like to invite you to enter a team of staff, volunteers, family members and friends to participate in our 24th annual festival being held from June 22nd-25th (racing is on the 24th and 25th).

We offer a division specifically for High Tech teams titled The High Tech Challenge Cup races, which provides you with an opportunity to participate in some friendly competition against teams representing software developers, hardware companies and those in information technology.

Teams consist of 16-20 paddlers, one steersperson and one drummer. Your registration includes two free practices so that your team can get together on the water with a coach at the Ottawa River Canoe Club before the festival. The club is located just north of Kanata making it easy to practice at lunch, before work or after work.

Recognized as North America’s largest dragon boating festival, the four day celebration offers free admission to concerts, amusement attractions, sports demonstrations, a variety of artisans, exhibitors, delicious culinary treats, children’s area and non-stop racing.
