Community Manager, Kanata North Business Association (12 Month Contract)

Scope of Work

The Community Manager is part of the KNBA Marketing team, reporting to the Chief Operating Officer and responsible for developing digital content and engagement for the Kanata North Business Association community and networks. This contract will see a heavy focus on building the Hub350 brand and Discover Technata talent platform. You will develop relationships with businesses, individuals and organizations interested in supporting KNBA events and activities, and assist with the promotion of our partners community events. You should have experience social media marketing, developing digital content and graphics for campaigns, blogs, articles and social distribution and tactics.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

DIGITAL CONTENT

  • Content creation for blogs, articles, emails and social networks
  • Develop communications and promotional content for KNBA and all sub brands
  • Ensure consistency of brand standards across all platforms and networks
  • Draft content for our website and social properties

SOCIAL COMMUNITY

  • Coordinate KNBA social media accounts, dashboards and platforms
  • Launch and grow the Hub350 brand across all social and digital platforms
  • Ensure consistent brand messaging and creative assets across all marketing touchpoints
  • Grow the company’s presence, branding and positioning on our online properties
  • Marketing support for community stakeholders to share content on social (awards, events, etc)
  • Using Google Analytics and other measurement tools to measure performance and report on metrics
  • Creation, distribution and scheduling of social media digital content (graphics, photos, videos, news articles, promotional graphics for events)
  • Identify emerging trends and opportunities, explore and evaluate new media outlets, and trends in the marketplace
  • Track and share business member news announcements
  • Social listening to business members accounts
  • Oversee social Ad trafficking, content calendar and promotion of our digital magazine The Kanata Networker

EVENTS SUPPORT

  • Manage and upkeep event landing pages hosted on KNBA website
  • Source quotes from vendors (caterers, AV, bar, venue, etc)
  • Manage and monitor social media campaigns for events on social
  • Create communication packages for internal + community promotions
  • Create email campaigns for event promotions and post event follow up
  • Assist with setup and planning of KNBA and Hub350 events
  • Track inventory of promotional/swag items
  • Comprise post event surveys and reports

This is a 12-month contract initially, with potential of extension for the right candidate.
